Methadone Treatment in Primary Care: Experience from Ontario, Canada 1980-2021

As the United States considers ways of expanding access to methadone treatment, there is much to be learned from Canada, where regulations allow certified physicians to prescribe methadone in primary care practices. Dr. Kahan, Mr. McLeod, and Dr. Regenstreif will discuss the provincial regulations in Ontario and the impact of regulatory changes on prescribers and patients.
