The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) works on behalf of the addiction science medical community to improve addiction science education, to inform the public and policy leaders about evidence-based addiction prevention and treatment, to increase patients’ access to care, and to remove societal stigmas associated with substance use disorders.
Membership is open to nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents, fellows, medical students, and researchers. We invite ASAM members who are residents of New York to join our State Chapter: NYSAM.
