Job Listing: Clinical Director at The Beautiful Brain Project Copy

Terms: Volunteer, 4 hours/month
Requirements: New York State Medical License

About Us

The Beautiful Brain Project aims to serve those who have been affected by drug use and addiction, and for the friends and families of those affected. Our main goal is to reduce overdoses by increasing lifesaving Naloxone/Narcan distribution and training. Learn more about The Beautiful Brain Project.

About the Role

The clinical director signs naloxone order forms and issues standing orders to allow designated staff at The Beautiful Brain Project to dispense naloxone under their medical license. The clinical director is protected by liability coverage: The Department of Health interprets the liability protection provided by Public Health Law §3309 (4) as being inclusive of clinical directors and affiliated prescribers of registered opioid overdose prevention programs, so long as they are acting reasonably and in good faith.

Responsibilities

  • Signing naloxone order forms
  • Issuing standing orders to allow dispensing of Naloxone
