NYSAM Members,

NYP-Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking an Addiction Medicine physician to join our Addiction Medicine in-patient consult service and out-patient Addiction Medicine clinic.

The candidate will provide in-patient and out-patient medical evaluation and treatment of all substance use disorders, including evidence-based medication treatment and basic behavioral counseling. The ideal candidate will have an interest in education, overseeing Addiction Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine fellows, residents and medical students at Cornell. Administrative tasks include participation in quality initiatives in the in-patient and out-patient settings. As our program grows, we are seeking physicians who will help to cultivate a culture that reduces the stigma around substance use disorders and promotes positive relationships within the surrounding medical and local communities.

Candidates with fellowship training in Addiction Medicine/Addiction Psychiatry are preferred or having previous experience treating substance use disorders.

Qualifications:

Graduate of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Psychiatry residency training program
Active New York State Medical License
Active federal DEA buprenorphine waiver
Qualifications for Clinical Instructor or higher level faculty appointment
Collaborative, proactive, and dedicated work ethic
Commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care
Desire to learn and grow professionally within a team-oriented department
Please fill out questions HERE to start the application process.
